The OFA Golf Society Spring Meeting 2011 was hosted at Aldwickbury golf course in
Harpenden on the 4th May 2011. The weather was wonderful and the course was in very
good condition and perfect for a society of our make up. Our Captain, Simon Weir-








Winner Steve Ackerman 41 points.
Chris Price received the trophy on behalf of Steve Ackerman who could not make the dinner.
Runner up Bob Wade 40 points.
Third Peter Nunn 40 points.
Guest Winner Matt Deane 38 points.

This was our first fixture against Old Merchant Taylors and it was played on a beautiful evening at West Herts Golf Club.
The results on the night went as follows:

As you can see a draw on the night followed by a wholesome dinner and drinks in the West Herts GC dining area. Mike Lupton, opposing Captain, thanked the OFA Golf Society for hosting the first match and promised to host us at their home course next year.
We move onto the next opposition which is Old Albanians on the 17th June at West Herts GC.


Match v The School 23rd June 2011
This was our 3rd fixture against WBGS for the Pete Ausden Cup and it was played on a beautiful evening at West Herts GC where the OFA GS were defending their win from last year. The school team, organised by Stu Williams, was a mixture of boys and masters and the teams were evenly matched.. The pairs and the results on the night were as follows;

WHGC put on a lovely spread of sandwiches and Captain
Simon Weir-
for a cracking match.
The OFA GS eventually came out 3&2 winners holding
on to the Pete Ausden Cup for another year.




Match v Old Albanians 17th June 2011
This was our first fixture against Old Albanians & it was played on a very damp evening at West Herts GC. Unfortunately the rain did not relent and with the greens flooding on the 9th onwards we decided to head for the bar and call the game an honourable draw.
The pairs on the night went as follows;

After drying out we enjoyed dinner & drinks in the West Herts GC
dining area.
Don Carnell, opposing Captain, thanked the OFA GS for hosting
the first match and promised to host us at their home course next year.
We move onto the next opposition which is WBGS in the Pete Ausden Cup
on the 23rd June at WHGC

Highgate Old Boys Golf Competition 9th September 2011
Old Fullerians' Golf Society entered a team for the second year running in the Highgate Old Boys Golf Competition held on the 9th September at Highgate GC. The competition is a Foursomes format with three pairs competing in each team. The competition comprised eleven old boy teams with names as familiar as OMTs, Haberdashers, Old Albanians, Old Berkhamstead, Aldenham etc. Last year the OF's team came second and this year they were looking to better that. performance.

Following an opportunity to network with the other teams and an excellent evening
meal the organiser announced that Old Fullerians had won the event by 7 points from
